Can someone do a comparative swing test on the 60 and post up the results? Recordings are very helpful.

I'm trying to evaluate the differences in the feel of the following drum patterns:

Standard rock beat pattern (ie. kick, hat, snare, hat, kick, kick, snare, hat...) Also, consider adding a few double kicks (ie. ba-boom, boom, bap type pattern).

92 bpm
16th note swing @ 67%

184 bpm
8th note swing @ 67%
---------------------------------------------
92 bpm
16th note swing @ 71%

184 bpm
8th note swing @ 71%

Thanks so much,
DRUMAT!C

We've done this test before, Drumat!c asked for it a while ago. IIRC I found that in the end they both sounded pretty indestinguishable but I somehow preferred the 180 bpm one.

Yeah....i don't recall this test ever being thoroughly executed....I wanted to test the 60, 3000, 2000xl and the sp1200, sp12 turbo.....I wanna see how each machine vibes and reacts to their respective timing codes/shuffle variations.

Sorry man....Sure you can include the 1000 in the line-up.

I'm just curious to see the differences in their sequencing engines.

Thanks,

Does a 606 have sampling capabilities? If not, the test cannot be rendered by it because all the machines we're testing require the same drum samples.
