i need suggestions on how to hook my mpc 1000 to protools. Does it lose its (mpc feel) when slaved to protools. Can I make it the master to protools le 002?

You can only slave it to PT. hook up your midi out of your 002 to the midi in on your mpc. Make sure that your'e MPC is set to recieve midi in on whatever midiport you have your cable connected (A or B) and set PT to send out midi beat clock out of the right midiport (or all of them).
The MPC doesn't lose it's feel at all. I think it's a cool combo.
When it's all set up right and you press play on the transport (in PT) The MPC will start to play along with PT showing "ext" as the BMP value.
