Detail. Be careful with your Fireface sitting on top of your s950 and power amp. Those things generate some heat and could do some damage. You should put a little space between them to get some air in there.
I would hate to see you do some damage.

do you think a towell wouuld be straight to put between them? I dont' have a rack yet and really have no room or money right now

You can pick up racks on ebay for nothing, $20.

A towel will still transmit heat. I think that is the zeroth law of thermodyamnics. You just need to have some air moving through there, the more the better.An inch minimum. You could cut some tennis balls in a half and put them at the corners but a cheap rack wouldn't cost much more.

The RME needs to breath a bit. It is a great soundcard so don't fry it.

What software are you using with the Mac mini?

just switched from PT and an Maudio 1814 to the Fireface w/ Cubase..so far so good, I got that cubase power book and am learning up

I put old cassette tape cases between my sh!t.....hahah ghetto man.

You should scrap that 4000 and run the S6/3k combo. You know 3k knocks the pants off that other mp....got plenty of sampling time too.
