yeah I hear everybody its a girl I work with who's brother in law has a collection from his dad and uncle. Over 2000+ peies in this collection. At 1st I was going to get them for free, but then they started talking about how kanye sampled this and that, so know they want a grip. I'm willing to pay, but not rediculous price since at 1st they were supposed to be free.

The rise in price in stores is because one of the biggest pressing houses in the states has closed recently.

Out here, vinyl (and deals) are getting harder to come up on. On the flip though, certain records that used to go for a lot like 10 years ago (espeically sampled and reissued records like early Kool and the Gang and Meters) are really cheap now. I think the situation here is we have more people than ever going record digging, and about the same amount (or less) of GOOD records going into the shops. Also, out here a lot of the cats in charge of buying records in these shops are savvy diggers or collectors that will make sure the real heat will never hit the store racks. Ultimately these prices (which are always in flux) are dicated by everyday digger's who are always finding new unsampled records-- these records eventually become known (through EBAY, and internet digging sites) and highly valuable to sellers. Some that come to mind are those private joints like Bobby Brown and Space Ark which I noticed shot up in price in the last few years, no doubt as a result of thier desirability among record diggers.

it been that why for use for ever with imports, thats why i only buy domestic, to help out the US economy and to keep artist here to record.

they seem to find it better to record and sell over seas, partly because the music is appreciated over there, than here.

This store that I usually go to has most of their stuff priced at $2.99 or $3.99. They can go up to $9.99 depending on what it is. Some higher. But those are the real rare ones or whatever. I'm not complaining about that. I think it's reasonable.

And then they have this big section that's 5 for a $1.99. By 10 get 10 free. I've found some good shit in there.
