ok, i got my mpc and my asr hooked up midi. everything was working fine and the sounds from the asr were playing out of my mpc . so i wanted to transfer my sequence that i made in the asr into the mpc. so i recorded track 1(drums) into track 1 in the mpc, than track 2, and then 3. when i got to 4 which is the bassline, i wanted to put it on track 4 on my mpc. but when i solo track 4 on the asr and try to record it in the mpc. along with the bassline came soome wack ass drum loop that came out of no where. but when i went to track 1 or 2 or 3 on the asr it plays my drum loop fine. can someone please help. its driving me crazy.

No offense butch, you know your my boy and all, but WTF are you doing?

Use your ASR as a controller and your MPC as your sequencer (ASR Midi Out>MPC Midi In - MPC Midi Out>ASR Midi In), this way you can play the MPC with the ASR and vice versa, and use either as a sound source but the MPC will be carrying the sequence.

Save a disk of your settings and samples on the ASR and a corresponding sequence file on the MPC..thats it....load both when you want to record, I think you might be over complicating things. Holla back.
