I guess you could chalk it up like Drag cars Staging up....
How much time do you have to post a beat etc. (Estimated Time To Respond)?
Oh when you mean a "No Sample" beat, does that mean Straight up Drummin without a synth track or music at all? Or does that mean you have to use YOUR own Synth Keyboard or what have you to compliment the drum track?...NO samples from records, CD's etc?

I think there should never be any rules at all.
It should just be a hot beat brought to the table.
