help: getting shocked while holding 1k and pluging in usb

I don't know whats going on. My set up is the same, but I'm trying to hoop up the usb to the mpc and there are little sparks everytime I touch the usb plug to the usb port on the back of the mpc. And if i'm holding the 1k and touch the tip of the usb (while plugged into the computer) I can feel a bit of a shock.

Are your power outlets grounded correctly?

I believe so I was checking that out. Nothing has changed in my setup. Everything is nice and neat in the power strip.

USB is 5v or so

did u change the location of the mpc? like a diffrent spot on yur desk or sumthin

I threw water on it to calm it down. I did move it, I also used my forgotten cf card reader.

It´s quite normal that u feel a bit electricity where electricity runs through, that can not be solved with software.

Actually, I was more concerned shorting-out the mpc or my computer.

I had a USB cd writer that would shock me slightly.

It didn't break ever, so i guess it could be nothing to worry about.

Why are you even using the USB port? it takes like 30 years to copy like 3 mb, get a card reader/writer and use that if you can. probably a better option
