1.50 acting CRAZY...Just me???

Akai should be scared that some overzealous lawyer doesn't start a class action suit on behalf of MPC4000 owners who have been shafted by false advertising. They need to GET ON THE PERVIBIAL ball.

Looks like all 1.5 problems are only with MIDI Clock sync.
I put 1.5 in mine MPC4k last week and I'm workin' with MTC instead (slave of my dps24) and it' workin' for me.
I've been usin' the new features like 16 tunings and the new mixer pages a lot and I luv it! The automation's great. That's hot!
And now I can trigger sampling with midi notes while playing the sequence
I wouldn't go back to 1.45 unless I'd need Midi Clock.
Anyway, I heard Akai's gonna fix the reported problems soon.

Thats good to hear Doctor Beat because I currently am not recording and dont need to use midi clock at the moment anyway. A few more post like this one and I may download 1.5 myself. Anyone else out their having luck with 1.5?

I'm lucky with OS1.5 and I like the new funktions.
MTC and MC work also fine when you use only Midiout A for clock!!!
No Problme here. Only one time funky PAD's.. but with the inital-funktion
is it fixed very fast.
And last but not least: I'm shure Akai's gonna fix the reported problems very soon!

I tried 1.50 & couldn't get the song mode to run properly. I switched back to 1.45 and it's doing the job.

See this is what I don't want to go thru if I buy the MPC 4000! So that's why I copped the MPC 1000 instead! The MPC 4000 has to many problems for me! I cant turn my back on da MPC family and buy the Roland MV-8000! So I will stick with the MPC 1000! I haven't had any problems with it!

it's the Initial funktion on the global page. You don't
loose samples, seq etc. of the memory when you do it.
I've had the PAD-problem only one time after loading
an S3000 format CD.
Up today I've worked min.24h with OS1.5 overall.
No other problems. Shure, Midi Out Full message by
MC to Out D or ALL. But with MC on midiout A without any
problems.

So tell me does midi sync to another program work ok??? Right now I have My Motif going to In 1 as my Keyboard controller and my MTP (midi time piece going to IN 2 to sync up to DP3.11, I have my Audity 2000 with Thru to Alesis QSR going to OUT A, My Novation A station with THRU to the Proteus 2000 to OUT B, ASR-X with THRU going to my MTP for Reason 2.5 to OUT C and the Motif is connected to OUT D. I do sync up the MPC4k and Motif via OUT D at times when I already have a sequence started in the Motif but want to add a few things from the MPC....BTW I can use my Motif's USB midi channels to sync to DP3 if need be so I wouldnt need OUT D for sync.......Should I go ahead and Reload 1.5 or was I right to go back to 1.45 cuz GOD I need 16 tunings feature BAD...it is much more convenient than setting up keygroups for individual sounds.......Are alot of you pees having problems with all the other new features too or just sync???? and is it just sync to Midi OUT mainly or Both IN and OUT?????

I send MTC of the MPC4000 via Midi out A to the MTP AV USB. DP3.11 is
is slave. No problems.
But when I change the MTC out to Midi out D, is the message Midi Out Full

What about Midi clock??? same thing no issues except on OUT D?? i use midi clock more often because MTC has a slight delay and I "chop up" my patterns in DP3.11 to create my sequences....It saves Tons of Megabytes on your Hard disk!! So if the main part of my sequence is an 8 bar loop I only record 8 bars into DP then I Edit, Copy and Paste. Things like Bridges, Breaks Intros and Outros get recorded in like the first 8 bars then i move them wherever they need to go. This method probably uses more Tracks overall but you'll go from using about 350mb per song(without vocals) to about 80mb per song (without vocals)..once you add vocals that'll bring up the MB's but if you copy and paste the chorus then throw ad libs on top of it so it dont sound so sterile you're straight!! let me know on that midi clock Bro!!
