mpc with sonar

I've been trying to use my mp with sonar for a while now with no luck. I just figured out how to use my motif rack with sonar, turns out I had to download some software to make the two compatible. Now my question is, do I have to do the same thing with my mp? I checked the mp's homepage but I wasn't able to find anything. All I want to do is record the midi data from my mp into sonar.

...wouldnt it be make sense to jus sync em up by midi and have your drums sounds coming out of the mpc?
