i like capshun's drums better, and actually the sample in it more too when it comes to aftertaste.

jimbo, yours had better composition, progression. the vocal clip at the end of the sample didn't come across as well as it could have, i'd suggest clipping it.

the breaks on capshun's were better - jimbo, that horn section sample got to me after a while as it does in all songs where it crops up (mostly new york postmodern gangster etc) it bores me. good sample layering though - when it comes to variety you have capshun beat.

final vote - capshun, largely because the style of hip hop is more in my preferred fashion and because the chopping was well done. and the synth layering did the trick for me.

good job to both of you though, i'm totally up for challenges from either competitors or forum members...

myself, dj t and capshun have a match coming up...we should get that organized, fellas...

Cap your drums hit but I hate that bass sound. Jimbo thats a dope sample and it has a gritty feel. Both beats were hot. Keep up the great work!

Definitely Cap for me

drums were real nice and when the bass first hit it kinda shocked me, my speakers were up loud!

The piano does get a bit repetitive but if there were vocals on it, it wouldn't be as noticeable. I like the little guitar sample.

Jimbo, good arrangement and nice sampling but i dont like the snare and i feel this type of beat is a little predictable somehow.

Both hot though

jimbo I LOVED DA DRUMS and vocals but if it was jus without vocals i think Capshun wouldve got u
