External zip drive?

i was recentley digging through the closet and i found an old IOMEGA zip drive and zip disc lying there. all it has is the connecter cord, the zip drive itself and a zip disc...will i be bale 2 use this zip drive with an mpc 2000xl?

Does the connector/lead fit the socket on the back of the MPC? It will need to be a 25pin to 50 pin. Try it (with the MPC off) If it does, set the device number of the zip drive to 1 then turn on the MPC. Press Shift>Load, use the cursors to highlight Device: Scroll to Scsi-1. The Mpc should detect the Zip. If this happens, your answer. You may need to buy a new zip disk tho or at least format the old one
