MOST BASIC NEWBIE QUESTION (HELP APPRECIATED)

Ok, i rececntly bought an MPC 2000 XL....and now i realize, i dont know how to record my beats...like i know how to record them on the MPC, but i dont know how to save it on my computer.....like what programs go good with theMPC??because i see all these "SOUND CLICKS" an they have their beats on them, an i cant figure out how to transvert my beats from my MPC to my laptop......AND I DO HAVE A CD RROM for the MPC.....

1. WHAT SOFTWARWE GOES BEST WITHT THE MPC 2000XL?

2. WHAT SPECIAL CORDS ARE THEIR FOR HOOKING MY MPC UP TO MY LAPTOP (HP PAVILIION/WINDOWS XP)

you probbaly need some kind of audio recording or audio editing software. something to record into

i use Adobe Audition for recording sometimes and I also have Cubase SE.

Yep, you need some recording software, such as Sonar, to record your songs. From within Sonar, you can then export your song as a WAV or MP3. If you want to upload it to Soundclick, you have to have an MP3 encoded at 128 kpbs, 44KHz.
