Can someone tell me how i can slave my 60 to pro tools 6.1? Ive got an Mbox setup.

Hey man, if you got a midi interface you can generate MTC from Tools, and sync the 60 to that, otherwise you gotta record an LTC track (SMPTE) into Tools from the MPC, play it back from one of the outputs of the Mbox, and sync to that...

Hook the MBOX's MIDI out to the 60's MIDI in. Go to the MIDI screen on the 60, and select "Sync In on A (or B depending on what port you use)" And that's it.

In ProTools go to the windows menu,
1. Select the "Show Session Setup"
2. Under the "Time Code Settings" Box click on "MTC To Port" and select your MIDI output.
On the MPC60:
1. Go to the "Tempo/Sync" screen.
2. Select your master tempo & frame/sec rate (make your your frame rate is the same as your ProTools frame rate.
3. Select the "Sync" screen using the soft key
4. Change the "MODE" to "MIDI TIME CODE"
5. Finally choose your MIDI input.
Once you done all of this, select the main page, press play on ProTools and your MPC60 should start.

The M Box dont have a midi out....

The M Box dont have a midi out....
The MBOX 2 does.
The Mbox 2 does but the cat said he had PT6.1, so hes got an original M Box, innit!

yah its the original mbox, but ive got a usb midi deal that connects my puter to the mpc. and thanks yall, ive got it all hooked up and running now.
