I've got A 2000xl.
If I purchase an Addonics IDE Ultra DigiDrive, do I need anything else to accompany it besides the media cards? The impression is that I also need to purchase a 4 in 1 adaptor of sorts that slides in. I'm looking to upgrade from internal ZIP 100. If any other info is needed, let me know. Thanks.

That '4 in 1' adapter comes with the drive when bought directly from Addonics, if I remember correctly. You'll only need it if you're going to be using Memory Stick , Smart Media, Secure Digital or MMC (<- forgot what that stands for).

How do you eject the cards on the Amtron model?

The Compact Flash slot on the IISDMC has an eject button. But it is mechanical, not electric, so if you push the button in half way the card will come half way out.
The other slot used for MS, SD, etc, you just pull the card out.

An atapi card readeer drive will use the SAME data cable, power cable and the 1 little jumper setting that you already have for the internal zip drive inside your machine. Just swap them all the to the new cf drive, it only takes 5 minutes.

just do it. you'll be fine.

And make sure the drive is set to MASTER mode (see the manual of your cf reader on how to do so).
