anyone run a triton with mpc 4000?

i jus ordered an mpc 4000 so i'm wondering if anyone has this set up??? i've got some questions too. thanks!

i had a triton runnin off my 4k, sold the triton

answers to your questions that you havne't asked yet.

on the triton hit global, hit menu, select midi, local control off, external midi checked, adjust filter to your liking.

that will set your triton up as master key and have it being controlled by the 4k's sequencer.

will i be connecting midi out from triton to midi in on mpc as well as midi in from triton to midi out on mpc? i want to be able to play the triton, record what i play on the triton into a sequence on the mpc and hear it back on the mpc when i hit play.

yah two midi cables and the instructions i gave you will do exactly that.

when it comes to sampling and sequencing the triton sucks compared to the mpc, does anyone else agree? don't wanna real bash it but it's getting me pissed, not too user friendly and complicated. i've given up on the triton, it's a pain to sample on and sequencing isn't as good as the mpc

I don't use the Triton much for sampling. I haven't really had any issues with the sequencing. I find it to be a breeze. I like to use the sequencer on the Triton to record all of my Chords and stuff and I use the mpc for my drum patterns and samples.

I only have 96mb of ram in my Triton, cause I found a old computer in next to someones garbage can while walking my dogs

I agree with everything sides the sequencer, Triton Studio sequencer is the easiest sequencer I've ever literally touched
