This is really starting to be rediculous
I felt that patience is the way to go here but we were told about this O.S. way in advanced which is cool but what's the harm in letting ppl know release dates. It is now not anticipation but ignorant to even leave a whole community hanging and say," yeah look what we got but we're not tellin" attitude is a bit annoying now. This is why threads get closed and why there are threats of shutting down the whole 1000 forum because they are playing with ppl which causes bitterness. No one likes to be played with. I think the ppl have paid enough in patience and money to at least have a release date. We didnt ask to be notified of this new O.S. release. I hate to sound ungrateful and I dont blame you Sparq, you were being cool in doing you but set aside all that and understand that this is a little ridiculous, no a lot ridiculous.
GETCHA MAN UP!

I just went to the japan site, and they are really aware of peoples thoughts on the delay. They are quietly dissin peoples impatience and annoying remarks. Its comming for peeps in a few days but dont cause a riot if it doesnt come.
Im pretty sure they are busy in NAMM and not worried about a bunch of annoying OLD customers patience, and they are not making the update a priority. So sit tight if it dont come in a few days because the world is not going to end.

I just don't understand how you can obviously have the software prepared if you have it loaded up in the new hardware, yet not have a solution for offering it via a download. It's REALLY SIMPLE. They're giving first priority to those who go out and spend an brand new $1000 as opposed to those of us who already have... as much as I hate to say it, it's business.

I know why they're doing this!
They've been using a cracked version of Winzip, which they use for compressing the OSs, and the owners have just found out!

The OS from the present domestic sight and the download page of the instruction manual it is in the midst of preparing. We apply annoyance in the customer and very much there is no excuse. Being to be release schedule in the next few days, we ask please may.
i agree with tripplegreen, i think thats an apology you know.
i read this on another site last night, posted 21st dec
Akai news:
" truth of the matter is, akai japan had a big fire a week or so ago in one of their buildings and warehouse. they lost over 300 DPS24 (i don't know yet if any of the blk 1k's were lost) and a couple of servers. and i'm guessing one of them was their web server. i don't know. i'm trying to get more information. "
