Everyone,

I am really new to the mpc thing, but am definitely going to buy one soon. I figure the base mpc 1000 will be good enough for me. I just want it to make some beats for some personal recording. I am a guitar player, but would like to learn the art of mpc.

I have been reading a lot on this site about a new mpc. Does this mean I should wait? Or are the current mpc 1000's going to be upgradable? Will the new ones be more expensive? I need some help.

Thanks.

So are you saying it would be wise to buy now, or wait until the new mpc is released? Do you expect prices to drop?

If you like a black MPC instead of the blue red then wait a little longer b4 buying one. The black version comes by default with 128Mb internal memory but apart form that the current 1k is completely upgradable to have the same specs as the black one.
