I read the post about the guy and his water soaked 2000. I buy and sell mpc's and I bought a regular 2000 and some of the buttons don't react fast. you have to hold them down for a sec to get them to operate. Most of my experience has been with XL's so Im not sure if its just a 2000 thing. It does look like something has been spilled on the upper board. I was thinking about soaking it in iso. alcohol just like the post said. Im just not sure if it would help, but it can't hurt right??

any insight is greatly appreciated...thanks

Damn I wouldnt soak anything in alchohal that has connections... only the pads. This could be a solution... u got dirty buttons though... open the pice of up and just clean it.. cotton swabs, alchohal, PC/electronic stores even got cleaners specifically for circuit boards/connections. If thats not the probelm I wouldnt have an answer... best of luck
