mpc 60 power supply?

so that wire is supposed to be there? sorry if this is a dumb question im just makin sure

you can see the copper trace under the wire, those pins are supposed to be connected, either there was a break in the copper trace and they put the wire there to fix it or it's just an aux connection to handle more juice or something.

so it should be ok to solder the black wire from the power supply directly to that because i have a burnt connector

is the connector still conducting? Have you done a continuity test?

have you verified that the transformer is still supplying the correct voltages?

just soldering wires in the power supply is a good way to **** shyt up worse.


I have the same burn mark from when my transformer blew, but the connector still works fine. I had to resolder the pins on it, but I also had to get a new transformer, so check that it's working before you mess with anything else, and procede at your own risk.
