yout bring your 1k with you to school and ish, right??

yeah man almost every day just got to be careful

but really the thing is built like a tank
just get a good case for it.

unfortunately i've really gotten into using midi to control reason so all my beats are basically on my pc, not on my mpc...all i get is empty midi notes!!!

that's why i always work on a couple projects at once, some are strictly sampler rock, all samples and shit - the rest are sound module beats

eventually they find a balance

but damn i wish i could lug around my pc, maybe put Reason into my head and plug myself into my mpc w/ a midi cable
shit would be dope

That $1400 price is the MSRP or list price. I doubt they will be going for that much...most likely cost about $1,000.

But I am all for expensive gear

Anyone hear about Roland's new MC-808. Seems like Roland wants to compete for the MPC 1000 crowd.

OOpps...already another thread about this...

The MSRP on the original MPC 1000 is/was $1499 also, so the BK will probably be selling at around $999, same as the red one is selling for now.

I was going to order a MPC 1k today, because I found a deal to get it at $895 new. What do you guys think? Should I buy it or wait?

By *valentin* Thu Jan 19, 2006 10:46 pm
Get it, what if 1499 is the real price? then what.

By japspecvr6 Thu Jan 19, 2006 10:59 pm
ok i get it................

this is from the harmony central write up on os2

"The update, which coincides with a cosmetic change (from blue to black) for new units, is available free of charge from the company's website and includes a number of significant enhancements that facilitates greater versatility from this popular compositional tool"

notice the free of charge part... so how is akai evil now??

let the flame war begin!
