Ok this is probably a really dumb question but how do you install the OS do i just load it on my CF and put it in my MPC or do I need to give it some kind of command?

Well done Akai.
and I think Sparq deserves some credit for his graciousness in dealing with a lot of the heat and flack he has been getting off people.
If back on October or whenever it was Sparq had said "ive got these videos and info on the new OS but it wont drop till end of January" and given people the option of seeing it, no-one in all honesty would have said they'd rather not.
And................having built up all that anticipation isn't it all the more satisfying now than if we'd acidentally stumbled upon a new OS one day. Like with horrow movies....the horror comes not from the suprise but from the suspense! You're gonna get your use out of this now youve wanted it so BAD!

Gonna download mine tomorrow cuz Im heading out tonight so wanna be able to dedicate the day to it rather than spoil the excitement now by just having a little fiddle.

Nice one again

im not sure if this was asked yet..im too lazy to go look cuz im exited and want to try the new OS... so before updating i have to remove the old 'mpc1000.bin' when i replace it with the new one right?

when you install the new one, it overwrites the old one. there is nothing that you need to do in terms of removing the old one.

thanks duke. u were on that shit quick and i apreciate that. but yeah i did try without removing it and it only recognized the old 1.07 OS... then i tried removing it and only putting the new one in and that made it work. thanks again
