Ok heres the problem:

Lets say you have stuff on track 1, bar 4 - 12, that you want to delete while still keeping what you have on track 1 bar 1-3.

Is there a way to do this, (possibly in the Edit screen?), without having to go into step edit and manually deleting all events from bar 4-12 on track 1?

Thanks for any help.

Do you have anything else on any of the other tracks? If not just highlight the number of bars on the main screen and turn it to three then pres do it that will chop it down to 3 bars. If you want to add more time repeat the process but put it to the number of bars you wish the bars to be

 Oops!
Looks like some1 needs to brush off the old manual...Thanks Phatz but wat i needed was on page 62 of the manual "Using the Erase button". It allows u to erase events from tracks, wheras if u deleted by bars you would delete all the tracks active in those bars. Thanks for the help anyway...peaceeee

8) you are right press erase then press the sound you want out. Hey I did ask if you had other tracks active, had you said yes I would not have told you to do that, but like I said in the last post "IF NOT THEN...." I never had a manual I played with it and figured it out since day one. That was 3 years ago now 4 years ago......Glad you figured it out and thanks for the reminder
