what's a fair selling price for the orignal akai mpc 2000???

I'm selling my mpc 2000 original to my hommie what do you guys think is a fair price? It's in perfect working condition.
full ram
8outs
floppy drive
broken power button (still turns on fine)
any suggestions?

actually I thought about it...$700 might be too much..I'm just telling the truth.....$700 might be an ebay price for a desperate buyer's bid

It depends how good of a friend he is. I would say $650 if your tight w/him, $750-800 if he's a so so friend.

i sold my 2000xl with no effects,8 outs,but it did have the full 32mb memory for $800.i bought it in 1999 and it was in very good condition.

Prepal is pretty worthless, it tracks asking prices not selling prices.
It will never show what somethings is selling for just what someone thought they could get for it.

Open an ebay account it's free. Advanced search for completed listing for the 2000. You'll see what they've been going for. Wow, never thought I'd tell someone to search.

If he's a real friend, I'd say 500 straight up. You gettin bread, he gets a helluva piece of gear. Great tradeoff I'd say. If he ain't that good a friend, go 700.
