Is there anyway to convert pgms for the 1000 to pgms for the 2000xl?

what about loading akp files in the 2000/2000xl? what exactly IS an akp file? all i know is that recycle exports one and bluebox turns it into a pgm...

2k/2kxl cannot read akp, it's not in the manual either.

Awave CAN reak akp, and you can open an akp
into the window, "save the whole collection"
as a "mpc series pgm".

hint hint..

All non MPC Akai's should be able to read AKP files. From the S950 on, Recycle would create AKP files and then you could easily import them via SCSI into the Akai samplers. I think MIDI too, but I did via SCSI.

I used to own an Akai S1000 and I would chop the loop inside Recycle and then export an AKP file from Recycle/Mac via SCSI into the S1000. Really cool stuff.

The MPC series is not really supported by Recyle.

I use MPCPGMMAKER on my Mac. Create Wav files out of the chops and then create programs in MPM. That sounds crazy when I write it!!!!
Actually, this sucks sometimes, but if I really want a chopped loop fast, it works.

I still think the best way to do it, is to do it all in the MPC. Recycle is cool, but with no support for MPC's...do it all straight into the MPC.
