happy new year everyone

i have a 8 out mutec board installed.

i connected a 1604vlz

problem!!

channel out no 1 is received at channel 2 mackie
channel out no 2 is received at channel 1 mackie.
channel out no 3 is received at channel 4 mackie
channel out no 4 is received at channel 3 mackie
all the channels 1 til 8 are this way.
is this correct or has my local dealer build in the 8 out board wrong???

That tells us very little. Can you tell us what is actually coming out of each output of the MPC? (not what a mixer sees due to a potential cable crossing?)

maybe you hace it cabled wrong in the mackie?

ok guys,

track 1 is send in indiv mode as 1 to mackie1604 to line 1(mono sample)but its received at line2 in the mackie (the cables are connected ok)

track 2 is send in indiv mode as 2 to mackie1604 to line 2(mono sample)but its received at line 1 in the mackie.

it seems something is crossed

now i did switch the cables like this:

track 1 mpc to line 2 (and now the sound is received correct to line 1
did this with the other cable tough and now everything seems ok.

BUT IS THIS NORMAL????? I'M GETTING CRAZY..
i only use mono samples and mono jacks

waiting for reply thanks peace!!!!!!!!!

hmm.... check the mackie 's input with another sound source throught the 1/4" jack (not xlr).

check that your cables from the MPC are correct too, you may have them crossed there.

On the back of your 1604 look closely at the numbers on the direct outs as you may be putting them in backwards. I'm sure you know that the line outs on the MPC start from the right looking at it from the rear of your MPC but on the left looking from the front of your MPC.

ok guys ,
i went to my local dealer with my mpc and hooked it up to a mixer over there.
my dealer saw the problem and it was the fist time that he had to deal with it.
i mailed akai holland and they say it is a mutec software problem.
now my dealer is trying to get me an other board

peace!!!!!!!!!!!
