Gunshot sounding snare

i seen this video from a smack dvd...forget the guys name but he produces for m.o.p. and others her has over 20 mil sold.but anyway he was saying to have your snare sound like a gunshot...anybody got a snare that sounds like 1...or how do i get mine to sound like 1

Sample a gunshot and layer it with a regular snare.

take a handclap and tune it down WAY low

not sure which 1 but im pretty sure it's the newest smack...only person i seen on smack producer wise is heatmakerz,and just blaze and it's not none of them.im tring to thing of his name...i

his name is DR Period,

I dont think he really meant a gunshot snare he just meant u gotta have a crisp snare that snaps like a gunshot

send a reverb through it thats what i did. and tuned it low.
