1.i am messing wit timestretch i got this sample and i want the tempo 109 once i make it 109bpm it no longer fit 109 in a 4/4 seq what am i doing wrong?
what did you insert as the original tempo? you have to know the original tempo in order to properly stretch your sample.

hutchthemack wrote:2.this picthshift stuff do you use it before you ts or after i know you dont always need to use i am just fooling around
you can use the pitchshift before or after your stretch the sample and you're right you don't have to use PS.

if your going for the note repeat function of "holding the tap tempo" you can still use your midi keyboard to triger the note repeat while holding the button.

DUDE YOU SURE CUZ DAT DONT WORK SOMEONE else just confirmed it

Any 1 know the CC# for bank change and program select for the Triton Extreme. :?

A la MSB / LSB. I've read the Korg manual, but I'm not understanding how to make it change banks. So far, I can only select patches from the GM bank. :?

Thanks for the help.

PS: I've already searched this forum and others!

Antonym wrote:sparq any idea as to why the os change is effecting some people's beats? it did to a couple of mine...fixing them isn't hard and is not worth complaining about, but i'm curious to know why that happened?
i am not sure but remember i mentioned this os is not just a minor update. half of the code had been rewritten to accommidate the new features. maybe that has something to do with it. it did not happen to me neither did the blank screen (contrast readjustment) i don't know why it's happening to others.

i am using a sound mod and triggering sounds from that into the mpc, using my oxygen8, holding down a key and pressing note repeat... the result is my midi note from the sound mod is repeating according to the TC resolution that i press.

a drum program on the mpc itself? a pgm of drum hits that are on the mpc? note repeat does work. what exactly are you talking about? let me get a better understanding of what you mean.

ok, i gotcha now. i understand. and you're right it doesn't work. i just tried it. don't know why it doesn't. did it work before on 1.07? i've never had to do it that way. if i have something programmed in the mpc itself, i use the pads. i only use the keyboard if i'm using reason or some other sound mod.

sorry about that, i didn't understand b4 what you meant.

anybody know how to make the mp start w/ a clean slate? Now that I got 2.1 my mp always loads up with a bunch of kits and sequences prebuild. I only have 16mb of memory on board so this kill my space. Thanks

I'm thinking you wanting to not load the presets up that comes with the MP.
hit mode-Load then cursor up to were it says memory card hit open window- should say Load setup- Autoload:on or Off 8)

mytake on the levels situations

i thinkit has something to do with the new feature; track volume.
when you boot up a 'before os2x beat', i think you have to put the track volume to 200% on all the tracks. somewhere in the transitiion, the default and unchangable track volume (in os' 1.07 and previous) are equivelent to 100% in 2.10.

also, i think som mixer settings go back to facotry default.

i ended up swapping my laptop hard drive in and received the same error message. DAMN

since my laptop doesnt have a floppy, i dl'ed a win98 cd, booted to the cd-rom and deleted the partition (from my laptop HD) which had an ntfs volume on it. stuck the hard drive back in the mpc and it formatted just fine. i'm willing to bet my 80 gig HD that i bought "new" from Fry's had NTFS on it. bastards!

i'm guessing the MPC doesnt like NTFS volumes? i've read past posts and some have taken HD's from old laptops so I'm guessing they had FAT on there.

glad to know you've made progress!

Tha S-ence wrote:either way , if u format it in the mpc, it should make it the format the mpc likes......

i guess if there is already NTFS on the hard disk, the mpc won't even want to format it. can you confirm that Sparq?
