saving to cd-rw on the 4000 plus?

so i cant seem to get my 4000 plus to recognize my cd drive when im trying to save.i hit the "save" button,scroll down to "disk",turn the jog wheel,and i see my mpc4000disk,and scsi device,but no cd drive?
can you not save to cd-rw's on the 4000 plus?

b.t.w. i just want to save the data.not actually save the song as a whole wav. file to play in a cd player.

well i sort of figured this out.you go into load (and i thought that was kinda strange seeing as you are SAVING something)then utility,then jog to memory to cd,then do it.although this saves the entire memory (every song) from the mpc to the cd.
is there any way to save just one song at a time to a cd-rw?

Upgrade your OS to 1.70 or higher...earlier OS releases had a problem with recognizing your CDR drive...

well i have the latest o.s. (i have the 4000blplus,i just got it 3 days ago)
i can load things up from the cd drive
save the whole internal drive to a disk if i go into "load-utility"
but if i go into save mode the mpc wont recognize the cd-rw.strange aint it?

I'd check that OS....Most machines are sold with whatever OS was installed when they were shipped to the retailer....

very strange, I have never tried to save anything on disc myself, maybe i should check that..

Have you talked to akai yet?
