ASR 10 help please?????

what's good ppl? i have a question that i hope someone can quickly give me some assistance.

my boy just came over to my crib with his asr10 and he wants to use it with reason 3.0 he never had a manual for it, we can not find one online and he is not well versed with the asr. we have the midi in/out connected the right way, we just need to know exactly how to set the asr to be local off so we can use it to control reason as a midi controller.

please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

btw. i've searched this site (and i do know how to use this site) and i found that the asr10 can control reason (which i already knew) but i just don't know the exact steps to configure the asr10.

Prepare yourself for godly keys. They feel wonderful. Once you get a feel for them you might never go back my man. Especially for them 1000 pads... Good luck and give it a chance to sample, learn it inside and out.

oh no doubt. but the unfortunate thing is when my man leaves tonight, he is taking his asr with him. i just checked ebay, there's a couple of them going for around $450 and change. i might just cop one.

From personal experience i would say it would deff be worth the money. They are waaaay underpriced for what they can do compared to other units. Im sure you will see... Its very deep and can do alot for a piece of its age. Just takes the (small) effort to learn. Again, good luck and enjoy. BTW, try the filters and evelopes out. Run a train through that mutha...

Yes ASR goodness. I've been rockin all ASR lately. Its funny because I knew how to use it pretty well, but dam its like everytime I use I'm learning something new with it. I love this machine, and the sound it puts out is beautiful.

Hey guys. Does anyone know how to get .wav samples Ive downloaded off the internet that I have saved either on my MPC or computer into the ASR-10? I just got this badboy and still learning things. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Sample them in there out from your computer or mpc... The asr doesn't read .wav files. there is a program from chickken systems called translator, but I've bever used it persoanlly. It cost $150.00... I would just sample into it. i keep alot drum breaks saved on my pc, and when i want to use one I'll sample out from my pc into my ASr.

Yes sampling it into the ASR would be the wise desicion. You want to butter that sound up with the ASR's warmth.

Tell me about. I bought mine in 97'. And although I've added a mpc and a computer since then, the ASR is still my primary sampling tool.

The ASR is like Pam Grier. She has aged very gracefully. I'd still hit it

I had the mpc first, and now its gone gettin fixed, and lookin like i'm going to sell it. So right now its all ASR. I'm really liking it , but i do miss not being able to use mu mpc....
