Using 16 Levels with Samples I just made

I'm relatively new to sampling, so bare with me. I've been reading through the manual trying to find the answer to this problem, but can't seem to find it. If someone could help me out, or at least point me to the right place in the manual, I would appreciate.

I just sampled a small portion of a melody from a mainstream song. I'm trying to use 16 Levels in order to play a hook with different pitches. But when I do this, 16 Levels is also changing the TEMPO of the sample. For example, as I go lower on the pads, the sample also slows down. As I go to a higher tune, the sample plays faster.

I know this isn't right, because samples that I've loaded from a few sound libraries I've purchased do not do this. You can play 16 Levels and change the tune without changing the tempo. What do I need to do to my samples in order to stop the tempo from changing when I change the tune?

Samples you play with the 16 Levels function always play faster or slower, just like they were played from a pitched turntable. You might not have noticed this from the sound library samples because they were very short ones, is that possible?

In order to play it at the same tempo you'll need to timestretch the pitched sample back to the original tempo.
