A card reader or a dvd writer player whatever?? If so could a pc techie do it? Cheers.

Unfortunatly i cannot find the answer, all i need to know is it possible to install a cd drive?

No. You can only install a Card reader, floppy or Zip in the 2000XL.
You can also use certain SCSI CD drives but you can't back up onto them.

you can use an external scsi dvd drive. but its only read only.

your best bet would be an external zip drive.if you can still find one.and it will break on you after a while.i hear about some kind of "card" but that eludes me.
