it's prob because the Tap Average got reset to 2 when you installed the new OS. Try setting Tap Average to 4... it works better for me like that. Also, I noticed that if you try to hit tap tempo like you hit the pads, it acts funny, instead i just keep my finger on it and kinda just press it... works better for me like that.

mine never worked quite right to begin with. i dont really attribute that to the OS tho. its probably a problem with the button itself. i'll have to try your method tho. thanks

Same exact thing happened to me, I'd press note repeat and it would change the tempo....
The tip to change it to 4 taps make sense, I need to do that...
