Chopping

Ive had the xl mpc for a while but unfortunatley the 5 or so months ive had it have been very fukin turbulent and for tons of reasons i havent been able to focus to really work on the mpc. Today i made the choice that f I worked my ass off to get it n ima pursue my dream. So the one problem i had back when I was workin on was chopping my samples. So today I sat down to work i realized my mother threw out my manual, so i went to the akai site to print it up but my shit as comp cant read it. So ima be straight up can someone just take me step by step on this...itd really be appriciated. I got a 2 bar guitar sample....that needs to be chopped, if someone could help be out here you have no idea how greatly appriciated it would be.

You can use the "zone" feature. Which will break all the sounds down into little sections.

What i like to do, with guitar samples is cut them into 4 large pieces, and from there do any zoning i might want to do.

You can dowload "Adobe Acrobat Reader" for free and install it, then you should be able to read the MPC manual.. The manual is in PDF format, the reason why your computer can't "read" it is because you probably don't have Acrobat installed.. Do a search on the web for "Adobe Acrobat Reader" and you should be able to find a free download somewhere..
