would the person responsible for moving this thread care to explain why they moved it and left an obvious number of irrelevant threads here in the 1k forum for Sparq to bear the burden of moving/locking/deleting????

I moved it.

I can't catch EVERY offending thread(s), I'm human.

I understand you're human... none of us are perfect. But its that fact that I started an informative thread that pertained to the new 1k manual (not the 2k, 2.5k, 3k etc manuals) while others were asking the same tired old questions (that could be answered by reading the manual) that were left up here.. which is what also got me scratchin' my head wondering what the deal was. As I explained in that thread, I dont agree with your opinion/decision, but I respect that you took the time to consider it and respond.

having sub forums is the stupidest idea ever.

do you know how detached it'd become on top of the moderating crisis involved in managing 6 forums?
and the amount of idiots already who post mpc 2000/4000/3000/60/any other piece of equipment queries in the wrong forum? with that many sub forums it'd be a complete house of retards.

Now that we have some good dialog going, I want to add another thought:

Up at the top of the page, it says "Discussion for MPC headz"

Now, with posters that ask questions (that may or may not have been answered already) being told over and over again to use the search, I'm wondering how can true discussion be started?

Since I've read the manual for my MPC a long time ago, I rarely have any technical questions, so most of the time I just want to get into a discussion with someone about something MPC and music related. I personally think that the layout and concept for this site is really good, but the traffic seems slow a lot of times.

If it is the bandwidth issue and related cost$ that are a concern for MPC-Tutor, then saying so would keep quiet the "Why was my thread locked?" complaints.

And a suggestion: other forums I attend sometimes "ban" abusive members for a short period of time. Penalizing everyone for the bad behaviour of a few is a little annoying to the members that practice good nettiquite.

If it's a problem of not enough mods, well then I'm sure MPC-Tutor can recruit a few more adults.

And mods, I ain't knocking y'all. The two I see the most (Lampdog and sparq) do a very good job in my opinion, and have been very open and honest in communication with me.

I understand what your getting at. I do. I'll am good about responding, I think.

He's explained these type of things a few times before as all of us mods have but you know man, sometimes people still get restless and stuff.

"with that many sub forums it'd be a complete house of retards."
I have to agree with this.

What the hell does this got to do with the MPC 1000? Please send all concerns to the moderator. This thread is a waste of forum space. Please lock this thread!

I see where your coming from also. It does seem like a waste of time and space, BUT on the other hand homeslice has a valid concern and issue.

But yeah, this has nothing to do technically with the 1k. If I move it, SOMEONE, ANYONE will have something to say. I can't win cause I'm always losing. :(

To me it just seems like a lot of cats out there are spendin' less time composing and makin' tracks and more time whining about a piece of hardware that's awesome even without the new OS...hell I don't even want it yet
