4 ms isn't that bad is it? Even hardware synths do have latency ;)

I just got the Minimoog soft synth off Angus and I noticed there is a bit of a delay in the response from when I press the keyboard to when it actually plays the sound.... I've got the latency set to 4ms and I still have a delay....would I be better off using a MIDI cable as oposed to the USB?

i've got it set to 4ms but it seems more delayed than that.

much more delayed than when I use the keyboard with the 2kxl

the latency all comes down to a fast CPU and a fast soundcard.
i get about 5ms latency with my PulsarII and a 3.2Ghz CPU in optimal conditions

a good sound card and some ASIO drivers, u dont need a monster machine unless your running a bunch of plugins at once

hell even if u have a cheap soundblaster u can get the free KX project drivers that arent even that bad
