I love my effects card. Spend time tweaking it and it becomes a nice little weapon..

Which retailers have it for that price? zzounds, Same Day Music, and Musician's Friend only have the model without the EB16 effects board for $1,399. They exhausted their supply of the Studio Plus with the effects board a few months ago, and it was selling for $1,599 then. All they have left are the other models as the beige units are being discontinued. 8th Street and Sweetwater have even less available.

Hey, I don't know if y'all know about this, but I'ma give out a belated Chrismas present: There's a big shop in New London, Connecticut, US, called Caruso Music. I bought my whole production team's set of MPCs and most of our keyboards from these cats. They always work out a good deal w/ me, and give exceptional prices on trade-ins. Plus, being that it's Connecticut, the tax is really low, or none at all.
Call 860-442-9600 and ask for Carl. Tell him TruPro from New York sent you, and he will give you the sick deal!

That could be the case, but if you know how to do a pad test on the MPC you would be cool with a used one and it also depends on where you buy it from. I bought my used 2KXL w/ 8 outs and max ram for $800 at my local Guitar Center plus $50 for an extended 2 year warranty. You just need to know where to get the best deals.... and it does'nt hurt to get in good with a manager or two. ;)

I could have sworn the "studio plus" had everything included, my mistake.
