if i understand your question, you want to merge 2 samples to make 1 sample in order to use the detect tempo?

no, that can't be done.

i guess you're right. i wasn't thinking that way. but i still don't know what dude is trying to accomplish. does he want to find the tempo of both samples or are they the same sample.

Well, what I don't get is:
if the samples are the seme tempo, you can resample.
If they are not, what's the point of merging two samples with different tempi to detect tempo?
Finally, the detect tempo feature is pretty useless, there are many techniques to find a ample's tempo, the merging would only be interesting (IMHO) for time stretching.
