buggy Mpc Editor

I have the mpc editor and its a great tool to have. When i make a drum kit and export the prg and samples to my ext. zip drive/disk, I choose 2000 xl as far as the selections go. when i load the program into my mpc 2000 xl and play the sounds some of th sounds wont play fully. when i look at it closer i found that some sounds where on (NOTE OFF) and when i try to change it the mpc wont let me. Plus some of the sounds tune functions are sped up or down and the samples i loaded are good old sounds i have from sample cds. Now if i do the same thing as i just said but i choose mpc 2000 not the xl choice everything works just fine but now all my samples are converted to the mpc formatt and if i ever want to replaythem in my computer i wont cause it wont read that formatt. thats why i leave all my samples in wave formatt for that reason. Have anybody had this problem!

I don't use MPCEditor, but you can easily convert those SND files back to WAV within your MPC - just 'save program' and select 'with WAV'.

Just out of of interest Tutor, what do you use if anything?
I have the Editor software...I have to say its helpful (especially at loading loads of samples at once that i have on my PC)

I do it all the old fashioned way - assign samples one at a time, it doesn't take that much longer. I do all the packs on the site this way

Watever works best I guess
Because i usually sample into my comp, its quicker if I assign my samples into the editor fly it to zip then pop it into my MP.

You should really try emailing the author of the software. He sounds like he knows what is going on. I hear he is really friendly and loves to help.

There is even another easy way: The author of the MPC Editor also wrote Freeware that converts between SND and WAV. It'll convert a whole directory of SND files in a few seconds.
