travel case for the 4000?

anybody know where i can get a travel case for the 4000? i've seen the ones on ebay, just wondering if there are any alternatives. a soft case would be good for when travellig locally; i haven't seen any around have u?

I have a case made by a company called Road Ready. Although it is a **** to carry (it's also known as "the Body") it will keep the 4000 very secure.

Yeah, I got that case for mine from sweetwater ($199). It's a big 'ol boy, but now i feel safe walking down a hill in the dark with a foot of snow on the ground and some in the sky. Get it if you travel, keep you mpc safe dog.

Dude ....... It's your 4000. Are you traveling or not? I got road ready cases for all my gear, it's top notch. Yeah it's heavy, but thats because it tough as nails.

Do you have muscles? Buy this shizz, and use it as inspiration to go work out at the gym. 40lbs., come on man..........

I definetly got the muscle but my pockets are another story, when it comes to taking flights that extra weight aint cheap, plus $200 or more for a road-ready, anybody got experience with these ?

I got mine off ebay, 60 bones, it's pretty rugged. I don't plan on throwing it out of any windows so I'm sure it's gonna do the trick. Hey message, where you at in BK? I'm in Williamsburg homie, let me know what's good.

The nice thing about the Road Ready case is that you do NOT have to take the MPC out of the case. So you get to your gig, take off the top, plug in the cables and your ready to go.
When done, unplug the cables, put on the top and your out the door in 20 seconds.. (in case your performing at a break in warehouse party)....


Also, those flight cases should be able to fit underneath the seat, so take it on as your carry on , and you wont' have to pay extra

I didn't carry my case on. I checked it in, had it wrapped in a crazy amount of "Fragile" sticker tape and kept it moving. I would spend the cash to protect it. Look at it like your protecting your investment.

seriously, you spend a few g's on the dopest sampler/sequencer (imo) on the market and then can't cough up $200 to keep it safe?

totally agree, the 4000 is worth protecting at any cost.

for me its not a matter of cost, its a matter of weight and portability. if i were travelling on a plane i would def want one of those heavy duty ones but since its mostly car/train/subway i don't need as much padding ..it might be good to have one that i could carry w/o a dolly. for example the ones on ebay are 10 lbs, whereas the heavier duty ones are more like 30. thats a big difference.

i think i've found a heavy duty one second hand for very cheap though. so i might end up just going with that. and see how that suits me.

after a lot of searching, I found a soft case that fits the MPC 4000 almost perfectly. 4000 is 20.5 x 17.7 x 6.6, inside of case is 22 x 18 x 7. just add a little more foam and it'l fit perfect. plus it weighs only 5 lbs. just bought one. best price is here:

i wouldn't recommend it for intense travelling (don't drop it), but for local travel where it'l be under your arm it looks like it'll work great.

Did anyone ever cop this for their MP? I'm about to cop a road ready case but man, having to carry 40 extra pounds on tour isn't something I want to do.

40 lbs with the mpc inside you mean? best case you can get for the 4k , i fly mines U.S. to Europe often, just check it in and not a thing to worry about, unless the tsa or security idiots dont know how to lock it properly in case they decide to open it.
