does anyone know how to make pad layers on blue box?I can't get it to work for me.I highlight the 2nd or 3rd layer and drag the sample but it switches the first sample so I only have one...the last I one draged.
I haven't used this program much but I wanted to see if it really made programing easier.
thanks

There's no easy drag and drop method for adding layers as you might think. Perhaps he'll add that in a future revision. As a matter of fact, something's glitchy with it because after dragging the same sample to a pad a few times, now no matter what sample I drag to a pad, it's just that one sample I was dragging in a few times. Weird. Never noticed that before.

Wax, you out there?

ok, just making sure u wasn'nt missing anything.so you use it for making one layered programs and then add more layers when you get back to your box?
thanks for the reply

I got a lot of heat mentioning that blue box would be great if it had the drag and drop feature but I ain't goin' there now but you have a point. Also on a previous post a bunch of us mentioned we'd all be willing to pay fiddy bones or so for a good revamp with sirius features on top of an already good program,,,hopefully in '06 sometime we'll all get to see it

You can make multi-layer drum programs in BlueBox, it's just not exactly fast like one-layer programming is. To do a multilayer, you use the "Folder Open" icon beside the sample name display for that layer.

It will even demo your layered sound for you (Ctrl + click) and allow you to set every other parameter (WaxAegis is still updating for new fields in 2.1)

I know he does have plans to further expand the program in the future, but you have to understand dude does have a life, family, responsibilities. And he doesn't have an MPC anymore. So that doesn't help haha. Has to do all his testing through others.

I'm totally with you that it could use some more/better organized features, Saint. But it is a damned useful program already. Especially for like, importing akp programs or creating pitched sample programs with one sample over several pads automatically. Though apparently it's more buggy than I was aware hehe. What all features were you asking for? Never saw the post.

Anyway, hope you're straight with how things work, invisigoo

I'm currently working on tweaking the sample drag/drop functionality in BlueBox. I'm trying to find the most ideal behavior that is the most intuitive. Stay tuned to the board for info on an update.

Also stay tuned for an update to BlueBox which supports the OS 2.1 features (Filter Envelope, Mute Targets, LFO, new filter types, etc).
