Just installed Multi Card Reader and I cannot save

I just got the Microtech 47B, installed great. I can load up projects and sounds, but now when it comes to saving, it keeps saying the cards are write protected. Now I know the MPC2KXL can only read cards in FAT..not NTSF or FAT32, so I formatted all my cards to FAT.
I can transfer things great whne the cards are in the PC but when it comes to saviongs something when its on the MPC its write protected. What am I doing wrong here?

look on the disk format screen. Does it say your drive is an "r" model? If so, its read only, and you need to flash it with the 3.1 or 3.2 version firmware to make it write also.

Good Looks Tic... looks like Im pretty much screwed.. got my 47B off ebay with no SCSI card.. So I can't upgrade the Firmware.. O well...

did u get it from the sunking?

check on the card itself that its not 'locked' (similar to floppy disks, some cards have a sliding thing to lock them frmo writing and you may have accidently locked the card).

Yea its not the card that's locked it's my firmware.. R3.0 R = read only.. I needa get the new firmware but I got no SCSI host card. I'll see if I can get one today and return it the next
