MPC Lack Of Loudness Now? A Thought!

Okay hopefully this wont get deleted... (I haven't created a topic on this forum for about a couple of months because I see a lot of deletion going on here) N E way... I was at band practice last night and all my samples were at different volume levels and it was a pain in the ass during practice raising all the level up... Was this because when i updated the new OS my master level was at 12 Ob and not 0? Just a thought...

put the master level a 0 and everything should be back to normal level.

Nah man, when I use to play everything use to be at 12 no some samples are the same but some are very low, Also maybe its because that in the program menu the level doesnt go to 127 n e more...

yeah i noticed the same thing. my master is at 0 but some programs are really low now

take your mpc back then, no problem here

Put all the pad volumes at 100, all faders at full and remix it...the volume curve has changed significantly in OS 2.10, so 70 is much quieter than it was. Don't turn the master level up as it'll just clip, -12 is fine.

Yeah thats what i had to do during practice but all my samples that where at 127 are now at 100 and need to be louder, now I have to resample all of them...

That would be retarted since i had my MPC for about a year and a half. All I have to do is Resample them a gain prob, solved.

That can't be, max level was always 100. http://ieee.usask.ca/members/snorum/pgm/.
But if you really need to you can normalize your samples.

Wouldnt normalizeing just make them quieter?

But it wasn't really a good advice, you shouldn't need to do that.
You should follows Espionage_Bob's advice.

Normalizing ususally makes it louder, if you make ur beat a full velocity...changin the velocity from 100 to 200 will not make a difference since u alerady maxed the velocity
