Akai x 7000 - Anyone know this bad boy?

I found an Akai X7000 going for real cheap second hand. I just know that these are 12 (?) bit sampling keyboards with some strange 2.8" drive and tiny RAM but for the price it looks like a bargain (roughly $120US).

Has anyone ever used one of these? Worth buying or a total turkey/door stop/white elephant?
