HOW MUCH U SPEND ON VINYL??

Aight when I go to a record store I wont buy anything unless I listend to it and its something I can sample. On average I drop like 40 buck on 4-7 vinyl....whats your guys habit like?

That means they're about 10 bucks each? Hell no. I ain't spendin that much on vinyl.

i spend my entire paycheck..thats why i dont have much equipment, because all of my cash goes straight to wax. i think my local record stores should have direct deposit from my paycheck, cuz thats the only place its goin

i dont even buy food most of the time...i just look for some bread for makin pbj

Never more than $20 per LP, $10 per 45...NO EXCEPTIONS...

In terms of spending in total, I'll never set any limit, ever.

I might drop anywhere from .50 cents at a goodwill, or several hundred in one trip.

I have yet to spend over $500 in one day on wax...

But when that day comes...

Man i wont even mess with record stores. I stay strictly gutter thrift sotres. The more ghetto it is the better. I have my spots... More likely to find more obscure pieces too...

never more than $1. and most the time its more like $0.05-$0.25/each i got a couple of spots that spoil me but its all about being resourceful. this time last year i had a couple hundred LPs and now i got about 1500 LPs and about 600 45s. and only spent less than $200 on vinyl in the past year.

thrift store I go to sells records for .25 cents each. On saturday I picked up 37 records for $9 and some change.

depends, theres times i spend 30$ on like 8 records, then when i go to thrift shops its always hard to find quality ish, so i end up buying maybe 8 for 4 $

i have a dope resale (goodwill store) by my crib that no one in the area digs at that charges $0.25 a record. i've been known to find many blue note jazz, 70's soul, classic rock, southern gospel. and their 45 list is even better....found some bobby womack, supremes, james brown, rolling stones, ll cool j, even a copy of the real roxanne on 12 inch
i usually cope about 80 records each trip for 20 bucks...
i do that about once a month

if im looking for something more specific, i'll hit up half price books
usually spend anywhere from 3-7 a record, but there's always exceptions depending on the record and rarity.

i love going out of town to dig. some of my fav places i've been to are san antonio (yes they have a record shop that is comparable to none, can't remember the name tho), cincinnati (when im at scribble jam), kansas city (can't beat thier jazz selection in that city)
usually out of town i try and not spend over 10 a record but i always try and get something i know i wont find in dallas

online....i only shop for when im looking for something i mos def need
only bought vinyl twince online because i couldnt find it anywhere
first was a janice ian 8 record collection for 9 bucks
and the other was a led zeplin for 3 bucks


the most i've ever paid for a record was 20 bucks
for jimi hendrix's "9 to the universe" lp
just a studio jam session with buddy miles and billy cox on some selections
no vocals, just jamming
this record is worth way more than 20 bucks

I use to come up alot at thrift stores here in the south bay area of L.A. but I got tired of that shit its too much work drivin around flipin through too much of grandma's bull shit Herb Albert and Charly Pride records you know? I still hit them up but not as much I got a spot that I hit up and always find somethin I dont care if I gotta pay 10 bucks for it...to me its the direction my music has taken me...

I'm in somebodies basement or garage everyday buying wax it's like dope i gotta buy everyday or i don't feel right! I try not to spend more than $1-$2 on an album and 45s i just buy all of them for a set price always trying to come up though!

When I lived in st louis I would probably spend nothing above $3 for a record. That place..**** I had some good spots.

Moved to FL...and shit just aint the same. I need to start lookin in the paper for Estate Sales though, thats a good tip!

I've spent $15 on a record tho, not necessarily for diggin, but just for listening purposes. Some classics you can't find on reissue CD's, and even if I did, I'd rather hear that slight crackle and hiss.
There is this one certain 70's progressive/acid rock band's LP that I want at a local shop going for $25. I want that shit, just for listening purposes...but fock $25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's on next time I go there.
