The PCD-47B is a model derived from earlier MICROTECH models.
It doesn't appear to support certain SCSI commands correctly...
Or respond correctly to certain device capability enquires ...
I have had three PCD-47B models.
One made in Singapore, another made in Japan and yet another made in Taiwan.
All the PCD-47B's are hardware derived from another model of PCD.
The firmware base code in a PCD-47B is derived from another PCD model also.
The Japanese "intermart" branded PCD circuit boards in one of my PCD-47B drives worked OK with all of my MPC3000 and a friends MPC60 when loaded with the latest BIOS/FIRMWARE.
The other PCD-47B's manufactured outside Japan did not work with the MPC3000 or MPC60.
All of the PCD-47B devices worked OK with the MPC2000XL.
Cross the PCD-47B off the compatability list where MPC60/MPC3000 compatiblity is concerned as it is too hit and miss to be 100% reliable.
Stick with the other models mentioned.
