Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hey all, I have a question.

Is it possible to hook up regular stereo speakers to the mpc? The connections on the speakers are 2 cables for each speaker. + and --, is there a converter I could by somewhere? Has anyone ever heard of, or tried anything like this?

I just bought a 2kxl, and I don't really have the money to spend on some monitors, and headphones don't do it any justice.

You need to buy an amp. If you don't power those speakers, headphones will do it way more justice. Or you could run it through the stereo for power if the stereo has an input. If it has no line in, a sweet ghetto way around that is getting one of those 1/8" to cassette adaptors and go through the stereo's cassette deck. You will of course need another adapter to change that 1/8" plug to 1/4". I used to do that when all I had was a Boss DR5 way back. Good for muscians with no budget, which I was back than.

I have my MPC going to my home theatre system and from there to my PC. I can explain it fully tmrrw when I get home. I have a durabrand home theatre, should be the same setup as you'll have it.

Go to Radio shack, buy 2 - 1/4inch to RCA jacks (cables) they should cost no more than 3 bucks each. Go from the stereo outs on your MPC into the AUX inputs in your streo. There you have it!
