problem with playing chopped samples

Here's my problem i make the chopped samples fine set it to each pad fine, play differnt pads on my first sequence fine and record fine. But when i go to overdub on what just did the pads have a big delay or even sometime dont play the full part of the sample for that pad or if i do even get when i play it back does not come back the way i record at all. can some one help with this?

do you have the loop turned on, on every sample?
what do you have each sample turned to in program mode? note on or one shot?

check those and try recording again

PS: make sure your chopped sample is trim tight.

i can do it the first time it's when i wana addsome thing after, the pad gets messed up . so it cant be the program or the loop cuz it works fine the first time it's when u try go in top of what u just did it copying the sequence and doing it on a differnt one does nothing negither

are you trying to record on one track with all the samples in overdub? if so
try using different tracks, and check to see if each sample is in mono-go to programs-parameter. we' ll figure this one out, it sounds like a simple issue.

i tryed differnt tracks to if i have what i recorded before with the samples playing it wont let me use the pads that the sameples are on freely its plays delayed

it's sounds like there is a loop issue , and not a pad issue.

How do you chop your samples?
what are your steps?

Let's try to narrow down the problem.

trim-slice-8 regions-convert-to sliced samples-make program and thats it.

does it work for u? chop a sample record a track with samples stop it u should make it fine , and then go back and try overdubing on that track with the same sample program end tell me if u have a problem with the pads like delay or it not letting ride our the sample pad

go to mode--pgm--params--and in the top right corner switch it from poly to mono.

did it dint work

sorry man. maybe check your mute groups to make sure you don't have any of those set. ormaybe the "silence" feature is activated or somethin.

actually i think he needs to switch the sample and the program to poly. Mono only lets u play 1 sound in each program @ 1 time, poly lets u overlap, so u woul dhave to do it in both instances....

yea i got that problem. it usually happens when i add my hi hats. so no you're not the only one.

first when you slice to 8 and then convert to sliced samples,what do you have your release set to? answer. if it is set higher than 35 ,the sample will play longer and could result in a bad response in overdub-pad. so
set the release to 35. And then Create Program. This should take care of your problem.
