MV-8000 Review: Part 1

I dont own a MV-8000 and I never claimed to either. My response isnt "counter examples". Its just observations made from your non-fact posts.

Didnt say the freeing of memory wasnt in the MV. I said that its not anything new, its more a very much needed function for the OS to keep running. It's there in every OS today, even the mpc4000.

Again, didnt say I owned a MV-8000, Im just pointing out the FACT that your posts about the MV is almost purely speculations on your part. If not, show us the facts. Saying theres "clues" in the manual isnt gonna cut it.

I think you need to re-read my post And no comment on the timestretch thingy? Interesting.

I wrote that there are clues because it would take too long to explain what is in the owner’s manual and on multiple pages in that publication. In the case there it was easy to cite a reference, such as Roland stating the VGC/Mouse support will be available later in OS 2.0, I merely cited the company's plans as plainly expressed in their documentation.

Timestretching requires a lot more than a thin one-paragraph post. It's done in different ways, depending on what one wants to accomplish. It could require an entire review, or good portion of it, to explain how it works differently on the MV. Therefore, I made no comment on the topic.

In the end timestretching or anything does not matter anymore because I plan to continue the review series in a neutral or positive location, not on this website. There are too many closed minds here that don’t want to accept technological progress. They want to defend their personal beliefs instead of reading about hardware installation and machine operations.

Those interested in the workings of the MV and future plans by Roland should send me private mail stating they want to read more info. I will reply with details on where you can read the next reviews. I am not making this offer to anyone who wants to post condescending one-liners, condemn a product's future, register under a new username, or argue through post-and-counterpost. To everyone else, please contact me. You will get to read fascinating insights, including the details of timestretching and how the sequencer works.

Just get this straight: If the MV-8000 is any good I'll certainly take a look at it, so dont try and make me come off as a closed minded person because I am too (As you probably are) furious of how AKAIPRO dealt with the mpc4000. IF the mv-8000 is rocking then thats fine, i'll prolly switch over, I just have a hard time believing it will from reading the way you presented yourself, not the product. It actually made me and others abit suspicious about your agenda in these posts. But about the mv-8000 reviews on a "secret" location, thats good news tbh, maybe we can return to what this forum is about, the mpc4000.
