individual outs on the 60

question
id like to send the assign signals from my 60 to my teac mixer
i am using 6 of the outputs on my 60
it seems i am unable to hear anything unless i assign a sample to an output
how can i use the outputs and hear sound while using functions wile sampling and editing my samples?
i take it that the sound only goes through the main outs while editing and sampling. is there a way to reassign the output for those functions?

ive been at this for a few hours and am stuck

my signal chain is as such
mpc 60->teac model 5 mixer-> aardvark q10 soundcard
what i want to do:
1) be able to eq and control levels via my mixer of anything going into it from the 60
2) also be able to hear the metronome, sample editing functions, etc.

i see that i have to use the stereo outs to hear the metronome and also what i have sampled without first assigning the sample to an output
now
how do some of you have your mpc's hooked up to your mixers so that you can use both the 8 outs and the stereo outs without recording both at the same time?

does that make sense?

just use one of the stereo outs as a mono so you can hear that stuff

the only thing is that if i hear it, it will get recorded when i record into my computer
im just tryin to figure out how some of the cats on here hook the 8 outs of their 60s up to a mixer and still are able to hear what comes out of the stereo outs to sequence and chop their samples and what not

just mute that stereo track whenever you're recording, and solo it when you're editing

im trying to use the 8 outs
my mixer has 8 ins
i cant sequence correctly if i plug all my 8 outs into all the 8 ins of my mixer because i cant hear the metronome or edit my samples
for example, when sampling into the moc, you have those options of "play/stp" "save" and "discard"
well since i am not using my stereo outs, i am not able to hear what i just sampled, let alone edit it
that is an example of what i am trying to fix

im trying to figure out how yall are using your 8 outs and still being able to sequence, edit, etc correctly

i really am not wanting to do the whole solo and mute thing since that takes up 2 channels on my mixer

you could try routing the stereo outs on a line input of your turntable mixer (if you use one) maybe ?

I have basically the same setup...what I do is connect the 8 outs to the 8 in's on my mixer and I always leave it that way, never touch/disconnect them and I connect the stereo outs into a line in in my comp. Therefore I can hear everything while sampling up until I assign all channels. And I unplug the stereo outs from the line in before I record. Try that, I'm pretty sure it'll solve your problem.
