I'm sorry I don't have an explanation for you. Basically the tech said the os version I had was corrupt and since I had downloaded it from my studio computer twice, he did not want me to do it again. I told him I had another computer in the house. He said please try to download it from that computer. I said okay and hung up.

I downloaded it from my other computer, installed it, and it worked. End of story. I really don't care why it worked so I didn't even call him back to ask any questions. My issues are gone. My needs have been met. My mpc and 2.10 are working.

Time for me to get back to my music. :)

I have come up with a workaround for this problem as well. My original program had some low levels in the mixer settings that I set that way on purpose. I found that if I just remixed those settings and brought them up more, I could get the sounds back to an acceptable level.

So ALL is good in FunkyBeatLand now!!!! Yeah boyeeeeeeeee!!! :D

I also want to give a shout out to DJ-T. He came over and helped me with the level problem. It was cool having another mpc1k user over to see my problem.

I personnally helped this guy out, the problem was not how he midi this and that, or manually doing this and that. it was all computer error! sometimes loading O.S's from computers you might download chunks of info and not get all the download. That's what happen,so he used another computer and loaded it just fine, Now I do want to add to this. This site is getting so ridiculos with all the smart remarks, to those mpc user, mods, tutor whoever whether you care or not doesn't really matter to me,but funkybeat has at least 20yrs experience as a musician, and after viewing his setup in how his workflow works, it is amasing, needles to say that I just found out that he is co-author to a well published book for Roland. How can some of you be so judgemental, meaning newbie ask for help, you tell him to read the manual, deleting sometimes important threads, and whatever! To be quiet honest I don't need to use this forum for anything! it's just sad that some act like their king kong with their ego's and power trips, I've spent some money in this place on plenty of sample's,E-Books,etc,and basically that's all I need from here. If this site continue down this road ,I will take my money first, and my time and talent and experience in helping others somewhere else, with no problem, and I'm sure you want miss me,believe me I want take it personnal,I just wouldn't recommend people I meet and know to a forum like this. I'm serious guys you know who you are?

I'm done venting. but serious

hey,
simple question, can you tell me, what is the size of the new 2.10 os ? cause i have almost the same problem with a Z4 and the mpc1000, midi sync was perfectly working with 1.07 and no more with 2.10 . so i would give a try to your "solution".

for me, the new os size is : 619 704 o (and the zip file is 342 823 o)

thx

file size is 619,704 and pack size 342,699 zip. so I would jus download from another computer, this happens alot. Some PC pending on how it's (2.0) downloaded, sometimes get corrupted. your .bins file is ok ,but your zip pack slightly has more kbytes than the one I loaded, and mine works just fine , strange, but just load from another PC and should be fine. let us know what happens. 8) 8)
